Location: Athens, Ohio | I would like the honor of naming Tomcat (Tom Hulbert) as Muskie Man of the Week. Tom has been wanting to take me to his favorite muskie lake and last month we set the date for this weekend. I was a bit aprehensive about going to Indy on Friday, my son Jon had just come down with mono and came to stay at our house for a while; me wife was a bit edgy as you can imagine. Well, I went anyway.
When I arrived, I found Tom had been fighting a hundred degree fever all week. He just returned from the doc with new 'scripts. We loaded his boat and off we went. Despite a horrendous strep throat and ragin fever, Tom fished me half a day Friday and half a day Saturday. Moved 2 Friday, I had one blow up on a Phantom Saturday morn, Tom bagged a 37 and lost another fish at the boat. Somehow, he made the drive back OK.
Congrats, Tom, on the fish and for going that extra mile for another Firster. You're my Muskie Man of the Week. Post yer photo next time you're outta bed, m
ps- Jon had slept most of the time I was gone and is doing a bit better, now, too.
