Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | I'm new to this; I have a bunch of components and have come to a point where I can't figure out a good way to tie on materials. I have seen that most use a tight spring (coil fastener) so I bought some from stamina and they seem awfully small. Is there something else available or another way? I know I can go directly to the hook but I’m looking to make longer spin baits. Something at my local hardware store would be ideal then I don’t have to wait for the order to arrive.

| throttle or brake cable can be purchased at most hardware stores and is perfect for tying bucktail on in place of a coil |

Location: Racine, Wi | That's exactly what I use. Then use some egg sinkers for keel weights and you're ready to rock. Makes it easier for not having to be so accurate on a smaller piece of cable. |
