Is this locator capable of displaying schools of shad. Or better yet what is wrong with mine. I play with the gain and either I am marking fish where there is obviously not. Or I don't mark anything. I have moved the transducer back and forth and so forth but nothing seems to work. Also how do I get it to work while running at 50 mph. I got nothing then

Try setting the sensitivity at 75% or so. Make sure you're on "Manual" mode, not "Auto".

Sorry, but I don't think that that unit will ever give you a read at 50mph. Mine never did over about 25mph.

I got my 65 on the bow. at slow speed (>trolling motor speed), at 82%, I mark schools of shad. At high speeds, off the transom, forget it.
