Location: Chicago | Think 3 diifferent bowls within the one lake, around the bowl is a weedline. Depends if they are in the weeds, off the weed lines or in deeper water.
I have done well on Bulldawgs, SS shads, glide baits, Pacemakers and real well on Suckers.
It is nice as within a mile radius, you have resturants, Ye Olde Supper Club is nice, Jimmy's is good, with a bar atmosphere. and a bait store. Ye Olde Tackle Shop. You can stay at the lodge (name of the motel)and have your own mobile home in the back if you dont want the norman bates type motel. I know they have 2 and I think were adding another.
As I am sure you have read, there are 5000+ muskies in 700 acres. Find the bait fish, which is Shad, Bluegill and Perch and the muskies should be close.
You can check out reports on Mike Hulberts site. Www.mikehulbert.com
I know Vince Weirick has also posted lots of good info on this site.
Good luck out there!

| When fishing Webster WHITE colored baits are always good. Crappie, Clown and Firetiger patterns can work well too. Magic makers, Hellhounds, Suzy Suckers, Dogs, SS shads or any other cranks work well. The channel between the tube and the lake can be a great place to start fishing so don't just shoot out into the main lake, fish the channel area as you head out. There are plenty of weed flats and steep breaks to fish on Webster. The flats and the main point out around the big island can be another good area, fish all the way around it. Lately downsizing to 3"-4" baits seems to be working, baits such as Husky jerks and Rattle traps etc. Also, only a mile or two down the road you have the Barbee Chain and Tippy, both excellent musky waters as well. Good luck! |
