Location: Davenport, IA | I just got an Induron IDX-400 and I can't say anything about reliability yet, but I can tell you it casts really nice. I think it casts further than any other reel I've owned (Abu, Shimano, Daiwa) Its also really smooth. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | I got one this year and use it a bit down in TN. I had a power handle on it and the weight of the handle engaged the reel during the cast at times. This is a left side crank. I have been in contact with Okuma and they changed pinion gears and hopefully they got this issue taken care of. I got to wait till May to find out. Bummer. |

Location: mpls | I have not owned any of their reels yet,but I did have the chance to fish with the line counters. I think that they are well made and very reasonable.
I will also say that Okuma is very receptive to feedback and actually try to better their reels from that feedback. Capt Bigfish- you should chime in when you get the chance!
