Location: Des Plaines, IL | How does everyone dry out their Lakewood boxes after fishing in the rain? AND where does everyone put their wet lures? I use to be able to hang them from the side of my old box but now where? |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | If the top of your lakewood is closed it shouldn't be an issue. No water will get in. If its not closed, I think you will have to empty it completely and let it dry out. |

| Hi Jim
I dry all my boxes upside down with the lid open. Best if you have a heat vent nearby, as that speeds up the process. And I have found that the best place to hang your lures to dry them is basically everywhere!
But then I don't have any kids or dogs or anything so I can pretty much hang them anywhere they'll fit and leave 'em...
And if anyone can come up with a way to dry out a dozen 3700 boxes full of baits that doesn't require an entire room, I'd be open to suggestions! |

| Close the lid and no problem even in heavy rain. If the lid is open you need to air it out or dump it over to drain depending on how bad it is. Hair dryer might work on the 3700 boxes |

| Addict what I do with all my 3700's is take a 1/16 drill bit and drill about 10 holes at the bottom of the tray's this way water can drain out and air can easily get in so there is no moisture to stay trapped when lid is locked shut, havn't had a problem since I started doing this last year. | add some inhibitor chips to planos or big tackle boxes to help keep stuff rust free while drying.
they work great.

Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | For storage of baits while your box is drying out, pound a bunch of nails into the rafters in your basement.
