There are quite a few huddleston users out there, myself included. I have not seen the matt lures perch but if it swims good why not. Watch the hooks, some of the bass version swimbaits have hooks with less strength than I like.

There's a lot of California style swimbaits that would be great Musky baits. The first trip I took I hooked a good fish on a bait called a Stocker Trout. It's a 10 inch sinking swimbait that has wings in it. The wings make the back 1/2 of the bait swim while keeping the head still.

I couldn't find a picture of just the bait but here's a good shot for you to see what the bait looks like.

Here's another one just for you Duff...

This one is the Castaic Platinum. I sent a buddy a few of these and he caught a few Muskies on them. This is the 10 inch version.

That castaic must be the deep version, I can't even see it? Any saltwater crossover baits that may work on our muskies? How about those jet teasers you guys use for tuna and billfish? Anyone try them out? Duff

Yes... same way. Use a small torch or lighter to heat up a knife and melt them back together.

I've heard really good things about the okuma rods from bass boards....

Mark, do you know any good sites to order big swimbaits?

Zach... Sorry for the late reply. We've been trying to settle in the new house.

Without trying to spam this board... www.calfishing.com is the most informative website for swimbait information. They have a website they are associated with that you can purchase baits from. They have the majority of "bass" style swimbaits available.

If you are looking for something in particular... PM me as I know 95% of the manufacturers.

Mark
