Location: W. PA. | What's the best way to repair a cut bag on a landing net? My buddy snipped mine last year with the hook cutters right between the knots. I was thinking about crimps like they use for leaders but not sure how it would work or what size I would need. Thanks for any help.

| use a zip tie and cut off or shave down the tag end so it is smooth and wont gut into a fish when it is in the bag. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Try wire rope aluminum crimps from local hardware store. These are typically used to attach/form loops in wire rope. Another alternative is a piece of small copper tubing.

Location: W. PA. | Just an update. I found some size 7 sleeves I had laying around from 90# coated wire and they worked like a champ. I pulled on it pretty hard and they're not coming apart. They are black, like the bag, so you can't even really see them. The size 7 was a little big for my coated Beckman bag but they worked. If you were buying them for this purpose size 6 would probably be perfect. |
