Location: Kentucky | After the last time out my Tilt/Trim squeaks and screeches like crazy, but only when lowering the motor, not when raising it. The speed and control is same as always but it's noisy. I greased and PB Blasted some joints but that's not it. Any ideas?
1994 Yamaha 150
Noisy using motor switch or throttle switch, so it's mechanical, not electrical.

| This happened to me with a former 115, sounded like someone scraping metal on metal. You need to grease the plates the two rams hit as the motor is coming down. Basically put some grease on you finger and spread on the plates. |

Location: WV | I think this is corrected by loosening screw on hydrolics, putting motor down, up, then tighten back up, call you local boat dealer, jw |

| Should be two dabs of grease on the rams as noted above and you'll be back to normal. Easiest repair I've ever had! |

| Can anyone tell me how the top hinge on an early 90's model 115 yamaha is greased? Found fitting for lower hinge.
