Location: Burton, Ohio		Well everyone I have just about hit the wall. I had one last spurt before the really nice weather sets in. I am an outdoor person and I can't stand being inside. Time to fish now! Thanks everyone for sharing your lures. I have learned so much in the basement! LOL Its time to come out for a while and fish!

This a 10" foil based crank. I still have 2 more coats of clear to go yet. I think this one has an appointment with some teeth. Thus the 2 extra coats! LOL

But don't go thinking you'll get too far from that basement! You've got the disease, and what's worse, is when you start hangin' fish with those things, you'll say, "Now if I just try a different shade of X color, I could probably catch more."

And then you're back in the basement, and you've got a plan for the next weekend!

Big Perc, I am restling with the epoxy thing. I have some different ones that I have been trying, Devcon, Great Planes, Famowood product, and envirotex. I bought a Bait from Joe "trueglide" at the Chicago show. His finish is incredible on the bait I bought. Really it is perfect not a flaw in the clear coat. Trying to get to that level.
This past weekend I was honored to have Tim Novak over my house for a couple hrs out of his busy schedule. For the record he is a class act. Would take the shirt off his back and give it to you. He happens to live 1/2 hr from my house. Small world sometimes. Since I have been making baits for just a short time there are some things that I don't know about. He opened my eyes to things he has encountered in his many years of making baits. I know Tim doesn't log on much here and I don't think he is even registered. We have emailed a couple of times back and forth. I don't even have his phone #. Tim thanks for stopping by and thanks for the help if you ever see this.
I want to work the baits hard this summer to see how they hold up. I am still learning. It is hard to get the mileage that the seasoned baitmakers have thru trial and error over their many years of experience. That can't be received thru the web.

My baits always caught fish and held up well, but the level of realism and inovative techniques have gone off the map. Thank you for the inspiration! Your baits rock.....it's as simple as that.

Location: Burton, Ohio		Well with 2 feet of snow in the last 2 days the my official start to the musky season was interrupted. I ended up in the basement working on baits again.

My Cleveland Indians home opener was snowed out! With my daughters Easter egg hunt also. They said come rain or shine. Nothing about the snow. LOL

I made a copper white fish crank. Still needs a couple of coats to finisher her off.
