I have a few Jerkos that I'm planning on using more this year. Any tips on the best way to work the Jerko? What rod and leader combos do you use?

Thanks,

John

Try REALLY light taps of slack line. It's a jerkbait in that it will go side to side, up and down, etc. and does catch many fish, but you really DONT need to JERK IT with the rod. Try a somewhat stiff tipped rod with a fast retrieve reel. The full sized one is pretty heavy, I'd go with whatever you have most confidence in.
