| This might be a dumb question, but how do you find the thermocline, isn't this supposed to be where the fish are more active???????

| Once the thermocline is well established you can see it on your graph if you turn up the gain pretty high.. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Depends on the thermocline 'type'. On many inland lakes, when a thermocline sets up, there's very low oxygen below that level and no fish will be present. If temps are high or light penetration high, the thermocline can bunch the fish up pretty tight on breaklines and points. |

Location: New Brighton, MN | Do you actively fish the thermocline itself? or just where it contacts other structure? Do you fish it as you do any other structure? Would this determine the depth of your troll? I guess i'm asking how the thermocline level changes the way you fish, or how much it changes your strategy? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It depends on conditions. If it's very clear or water temps are very warm, the very top edge of the thrermocline is where I look along the structure and for suspendos. Say above it, and you'll do fine |
