Hi,
I just installed a new GPS unit (LMS 334) on the front deck and would like to down load my waypoints and icons from the existing council GPS (LMS 330) unit to the new unit. I am assuming that I will need a blank MMC card to download the existing data from the council unit and then plug the MMC card into the new unit and upload.

My question is this, will I need to prompt the new unit to upload the data or when I turn the unit on will it recognize the MMC “new data” and automatically up load it?

Second question is, if it does not automatically upload the new data, is there a specific prompt to upload new data from a MMC.

Thanks for any help!

Ed

if you download it on the one unit onto a mmc card when you put it in the other unit it should reconize it. you can go to www.bassboatcentral.com and in there u can ask all kinds of electronic questions and those guys rock and know there stuff about electronics like we do about our muskies. not trying to send people away from here just go there for some help on your units...bill

Check Doc's site for instructions. The part you want is just above the Lowrance screen shot for saving. Choose load on the new locator of course.
