Is there any difference between these rods other than warranty and price? Just wondering what the thoughts of others are...

Materials the rods are made out of, the weight and dimensions of the rods, the Premiers being the more bulky and heavier of the two, the avid being thinner, lighter. People complain about the Premiers causing fatigue earlier on than the Avids. The Premiers seem to have a better track record for durability...but....I'm more of a believer that a lot of that comes down to the owner and how well they take care of their equipment. Some claim the Avids tend to break easier in a colder climate than the Premiers. Each have their Pros and Cons. Both are great rods nonetheless.

Avids also have a lifetime warranty...Premiers do not.
