I'm not looking to start a flame war, has anyone heard of/used tooth tamers?

Incredibly cheap musky rod, it might be good for the first timer. Any thoughts?

My very first muskie rod, back in 1992. I think Tony Rizzo edition. I used it for two years, I think. Held up well, and caught my first 40+ with it. I still have it, though it has not been use for many, many years.

Trophy Tamer, not Tooth Tamer. You'd never get these rods confused with Fig Rigs!

Found one for $25 last year, used it for jerks, couldn't be happier. Got my PB last fall with it. I've always been a big fan of cheap rods and I'd buy more if I could find the easy.

What memories. This rod was my first muskie rod and I still use it. Not as good as my St. Croix or my custom rod, but still serves a small purpose from time to time.

I used them back in college in the mid 90's when times were tight. I still have one of them and it is one of the toughest rods I own. I think mine is a Trophy Pro.

Decent rod for the price. Tough as nails my only gripe is that the cork handle is a bit shorter than I would like
