Slow day here at the office, eh?

So, registered and unregistered, here's a question for you: what things do YOU want to learn about, talk about, get better at, make less mistakes in for 2007? Maybe MuskieFIRST will find ways to answer those life/muskie quandries for you....

I'd like to learn more about lake fishing. I grew up fishing rivers (creeks) in West Virginia and would like to figure out lakes now.

I want to learn how I can spend more time out fishing in place of spending my day in the office looking at this site. Aside from that I will be happy with whatever bits of info I can pick up off this site and others. I guess the one thing that I would like to learn more about is targeting open water fish, outside of shad based systems.

I'd like to get more confident at fishing crankbaits, trolling, and fishing for suspended muskies. Not that I need to, but it would be nice to have other options to explore when the bite is tough.

I know this was worked on last year a bit with the open seat posts but I think there could be a way to get people hooked up with other people to go fishing in certain areas. I sure there are plenty of people out there that would like to hop in a boat that do not have boats. Also the people from the southern parts could come up to fish with the people who live in the northern parts withoput the need to bring boats thus everyone saves $$$$ just a thought.

I primarily cast. But, I have set a goal this year to not only troll more this year in both IL and Canada, but to really learn how to troll better.

I'df like to see more member video posted. Easy to do, and we can learn/be entertained/amused. All one has to do is embed video from any of the services like Google and You Tube right in a post. Copy and Paste the embed code into a post, and there you are...

The last time I saw a tongue like that it was sitting on a meat slicer at Chalfin's Deli on Chestnut St. in Chicago.

Kevin

Tongue and corn beef on rye, with a side of potato pancakes.

Iwant to go fishing on the lakes up north that everyone fishes and be able to see and catch these big fish everyone says is there. Example Minocqua ,lake tomahawk Pelican and a few others. I have put my time in on these waters and have only seen other peoples fish they have caught. Ihave even been in the boat when some of these big fish have been caught. I want to be able to go out and catch or even see a big fish. I have fished in all weather.moon periods.and whateverelse you can think of. Do not know what else to do except maybe get some red thundersticks.LOL

I'm with Even the Losers, I'd like to learn to catch a muskie in July or August. Those seem to be the tougher months for me.

That's not true. It's DIFFICULT, not impossible.

Mr. Worrall, I'm saving up for a video camera this winter; with musky fishing being the whole reason for purchasing it.
As far as issues/tips/topics I would like to see... Odd fishing techniques (Things that someone does which isn't the "norm"), Info. on Tigers and targeting them, also maybe something such as "Lake of the Week" - which a designated lake is picked each week and locations of where to fish, what to use, what to expect, etc. by those who fish it as well as the more knowledgable musky guys.
But overall, I don't think anyone has any complaints about the site!!!...Thanks for everyone involved!
