Location: Munster, IN | Just wanted to share this story and picture with everyone.
It is an e-mail from my friend Joel Tinker, Top Tackle Guide Service.
Happy Holidays to everyone.
We got a Christmas present a little early yesterday.
We were out for the first time this year (4 inches of good clear ice where we are standing, but open water in the distance) and setting up for the evening walleye bite.
I work with the guy in the picture. The fish was between 43" and 44", fat with spawn.
It was pretty cool because once we knew it was a musky the guy who took the picture had to run back to the sled and get the camera.
We just let the fish lay under the ice hole till he got back.
The ice was so thin and clear we got to watch her swim around for a while, most of the time she just laid there like nothing was going on.
Reached a hand in and got a gill hold and out she came.
Took a picture and back she went.
Hope everyone is fine and enjoying the Holiday week.
Talk with you later.
Musky 40lb
