| My manual for the 55PD shows to hook it right up to the battery. A sticker on the wires tells I should use a 50 amp manual resetable circuit breaker. What might happen if I DON'T??? And, why do they suggest a manual one versus an auto-reset? Old transom Endura I just hooked right up to the deep cycle and naver have had a problem. Never wired in a fuse or breaker. Thanks. |

| Forgot to add this; I plan on using one battery for starters. Not sure where I will position said battery. If it goes in stern I will use a long lead. Thanks again. No more MK questions after this. |

| Yes, definately use the circuit breaker. If you have a short, or a motor problem, the breaker will protect the wire, and prevent a possible fire. If you are running long leads, use 6 ga minimum. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | I'd do what the nice manual tells you to or your insurance company may not like the results. m |
