What release tools should I have in a well equiped muskie boat, and why? Where do you store them, and how do you keep them accessable?

For release tools I use a net, bolt cutters, hookouts, pliers, mouth spreaders and leather gloves. I store them in a flambeau 3 drawer tackle box (exept the net). When I'm fishing I take all the tools out and put them all together so I have them ready. The hookouts are great for removing hooks when they are barely in the fish and the needle nose (I like bent needle nose) are better for hooks that are in more. If I can't get them out I cut the hooks with the bolt cutters and try to make sure no part of the hook is left in the fish. I do all this while the fish is in the net and try to leave the fish in the water at the same time.

Net, side cutters, bolt cutters and needle nose pliers.
I have a small area behind the rear seat where they stay any time I am fishing. Within easy reach yet still out of the way. Also keep a small towel handy to wet down and hold the fish with. Gives you a better grip on 'em. Honestly don't use the net much. Although I'm planning on more pix this year so I probably will use it more this year.

I keep a Boga Grip, stainless release gaff, and a Beckman Magnum Finsaver Pen net aboard. I have a large plastic pail that has the following: Stanley rubber-grip heavy pliers, jaw spreaders, Knipex compound cutters, a set of long-handled pliers (straight, 45 degree offset, and 90 degree offset), a razor sharp fillet knife, a pair of puncture-proof kevlar gloves, a measuring board, a fibreglass seamstress' 60 inch tape measure, and a couple of hand towels. This pail has a plastic lid (in case it's raining or snowing) to keep things dry.

I have long handled needle nose plyers, lineman plyers, knipex bolt cutters, jaw spreaders, a 60 inch tailors tape, a kwick craddle net and a craddle.
Those ( not the craddles ) are located in the side pockets of my muskie monster tackle box with a file. Now I also keep an extra pair of needle nose plyers as well as my old hook cutters for spares just in case in my glove box.
