| I bought a unit but unfortunatly it only has the gps Im looking for something with both for a reasonable price. anyone that has any information on this please let me know thanks |

Location: Il | Most people will probly say the lowrance 332 and 334 but I bought a humminbird 737 last year and really like it. Got it new on ebay for 150.00 less than in the stores. Its not color but does accept the chips.

Location: Waukesha, WI | my Lowrance LMS480M is serving me well. The only thing I don't like is the splitscreen mode with GPS/sonar while the LakeMaster chip is installed. I like to see the detailed map view a bit larger than half of a 5" diagonal. I'm actually thinking of adding a GPS only display along side of it. I also like the ability to record the sonar with the GPS/sonar unit. You can review the sonar log and make note of features' GPS coordinates. You might think of running what you have in addition to a GPS/sonar unit. Keep in mind the vertical resolution. The deeper you go, the more feet are represented by a line. It's food for thought depending on what your target goals are. |

Location: Waukesha, WI | I got my LakeMaster chip from Cabelas after I saw it demonstrated for another customer so I didn't shop around :). They sell the Navionics chips too. Next trip out I'm going to try recording sonar to the LakeMaster chip. Check with the manufacturer to make sure which chips they support. |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | If you are not going to be networking units together I would suggest looking at Eagle's Fish Elite 500C. Larger screen color unit. Excellent features. Made by Lowrance, only major difference is the networking availability. Local Scheel's store has color units GPS ready for $699.
There will be one on my Ranger next season, updating my X15.
If you don't need color, Cabela's is offering some very steep discounts on Lowrance X17's and the older 15's.
I prefer the larger screen models for when I'm running the split screen option.

Location: north central wisconsin | I like my Lowrance LCX 25C. I beleive they have some pretty good sales on them right now as well, pushing them out for next years models. The 7" screen is plenty when split, and I love the color. I am hoping Santa brings one for the bow of my rig next year........ |

| im looking for a bigger screen and looking to stay with a lowrance model I was looking at the lms332 or whatever im looking for something with good detail and easy to operate im going to bass pro and see what happens if anyone has any info on deals post them thanks |

| I would hate to be on the water with a buddy fishing Muskies in my Ranger and be so last Century with a Black/White GPS unit. I would rather have the Go than the Show. |

| Lowrance 332 hands down is the best VALUE at regular price. If you can still find a clearance deal on the 25 or 111 you should grab one if it's within your budget. The 25's were $799 at Cabela's (now sold out) and I picked up one of those. Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | I am buying a new unit this year as well. I am going to get one at the MN Muskie Expo or one of the other sport shows. Generally you can get a good and fair price. I will buy it from whoever gives me the best explaination and intruction on the unit. I will pay a couple of bucks more for someone to make a good prsentation as to why their unit and service is best. I will be talking to Pat at Thornes for sure. Don't forget that the best VALUE is not always the lowest or cheapest price. Buy from someone you can go back to and talk with in case there are issues or features that you do not understand or know how to use. If you have someone to ask questions of, your learning curve will be a short one. Don't make one of the sales guys do a twenty minute presentation and then buy somewhere else to save $20.00. Believe me, a good presentation and a knowledgable saleperson is not that easy to find. You want him on your side in the future should problems arrise. 332 c in my future I think, maybe two of them. |

| That is the beauty of the Expo if the guy gives a twenty minute presentation and won't move his price down $20.00 he is a fool anyway. I agree about customer service but honestly if I have a question on a function I am going to ask the question here first and most likely get several very educated well articulated answers. |

Location: Waukesha, WI | I too will spend a little more for the same item if the "product" better suits me. If someone can explain the options for installing multiple gps/sonars/transducers and they aren't too far off the cheapest unit price, it's a done deal. I started to talk with Andy and another person at Reed's Sports at the suggestion of a local musky shop. I received a lot of great information and unfortunately had to spend the money on dental work instead  If you heavily rely on GPS, make sure you have a backup device etc which could include a second GPS antenna. Can't have too many fuses in the boat either! |

| Try the garmin 178c..I have in my dash and love it...I do not have gps up front, though just a sonar....I'm in the market for a pure gps fpr the front of my boat....do you want to sell yours? I've been looking at the garmin 172s... |

nope you send in the receipt and fill out some rebate info and you'll get your $50 check in about 4 months...LOL well thats how long it took my $ to get back to me |
