I have a bucktail i don't know were or when i got it. BUT it is about 9-10 inches long with hair and hackle feathers all in black with a little tiny red blade. I like the color, but i don't think they are a good combo i would not think it put out much vibration or even puff out the skirt at all. What do you guys think?

It's not what WE think, but what the FISH think. Sometimes a subtile presentation is what turns the trick, I'd hang onto it! m

How small is the blade? I like #5 French blades. I use them on some longer tails. Longer than you would normally see on a #5 blade. Also, I think a lot of store bought bucktails are tied with way too much hair. There is a fine line between getting a tail that looks full and one that turns into a paintbrush.
