Take a look. Classic behavior by the 'gills; there in big numbers but not going. Watch the bluegill to the right of the Pike that cruises through, when the gill sees that Pike, it's OUTTA there like a bullet! Notice the Pike ignores it completely.

Very interesting, Steve. Thank you for sharing. Amazing how few of that huge school of panfish show any interest in the baits - a function of the low water temp I assume.

Is that lighting from the camera's built in lights, or are you running additional lights?

It's the camera's infrared.

What brand and model, Steve? Are you happy with it, or would you recommend something else? Your videos have given me the 'itch' to buy an underwater camera for this spring.

MarCum 350. It's a lower priced model, compact, easy to use, and a blast to watch.

That's cool. It's funny how sometimes you'll see Minnows and other small fish swimming right in front of a Musky or Northern's mouth, as they can sense that the larger fish are not in a "feeding mode". The next thing you know, all those fish start to dissappear, and the larger fish starts to look for a meal. I think the small fish know full well when they are safe around the larger fish, and when they are not. Neat video, I could watch these all day.

Thanks for sharing that video. Appears there is at least one smart bluegill.

They all seem to suddenly get stupid around dawn and dusk, at moonrise, and during a Solunar period.
