Location: Brookfield | I recently purchased a squirly burt, can someone please tell me how to work this thing. I have several weighted burts and they all work fine. But this one is a unweighted one and it pops back to the surface with even a short pause. Does mania make a weighted squirly burt? I have a feeling this one will be on e-bay soon.

| Ys they make a weighted version, if it's running to one side try bending the front eyelet (the one you tie your line to) to the opposite side it's running. For instance, if it runs to the left bend the eyelet to right and vice-versa. If that doesn't work try weighted it yourself with some bell sinkers. |

| I didn't like mine too much but if I remember correctly the key was to use shorter taps almost like a glider but make the taps less pronounced. It never ran right worked like a Suick with long pulls and such. |

Location: Muskegon Michigan | We have a couple dozen of them and we like the shallow runners. Man you can rap those suckers over the tops of very shallow weeds with quick rips and pulls. The trick is dont let it sit or yes it will surface. But thats not all bad either when working slop. That model was designed to stay up on top . You will mess it up by adding weight. Just get a weighted one if thats what you want. The best action seems to be down and to one side on the pull. In short jerks it looks like a fish that is trying to dive but cant because its wounded. Thats a deadly action. Some of the new colors are pretty cool as well. I just hope they hold together. I hate baits that leak. Kingfisher |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | Tired of trying to figure out how to run and tune them.... Easy fix for unbelievable side to side action. Remember the pause, that's when the get crunched...
