Mr. Neuswanger covered this in detail some time ago. Also, interestingly, Dr. Sloss's work to date on the LCO fish indicates no significant difference in the fish past and present.

So does that mean he did sample some of Kaleps fish? I'll try to get in touch with Doc Sloss.
