I just checked out the trophy page which is a cool site. I was really curious when I saw one pic from the authour Jlong with what seemed to be a spinner bait and also another bait in its mouth. Almost looks like a fly and a spinner bait at the same time. Is this some special rig you use? Sorry if I broke your secret bait

Where is the "trophy page"? If there is something strange in the photo, I am sure we will all want to check it out closely....!

I think he means the Lax contest.

In the pic I think you are seeing just one of Jasons Long Tale spinnerbaits,,,nothing secret or weird about the bait.

MuskieBum,
I'm not certain which photo you are referring to, but I can assure you that I am not using flies for muskies. Maybe someday... but not yet. I also very rarely take photos of fish with lures still in them... so I'm assuming you are referring to some pics I took/posted this year to help "promote" the LongTale Spinnerbaits my wife and I recently started making and selling.

My guess is that the spinnerbait body is in the fish's mouth and the long main shaft and short arm of the spinnerbait allows for the blade to fall a fair distance away... perhaps giving the appearance of two lures? Dunno.... but that's my guess. Hope that helps ya.

Is this the picture??
