Posts: 358 Location: London, England | Can anyone recommend a really big bucktail 14"+ that is not excessively heavy, has free swinging hooks, doesn't twist in the water and will work reasonably shallow at a slow speed? I've ordered a cowgirl and an Eagle tail, but now I want something properly big!

XXX by Muskie Mojo sounds like it's right up your alley. 15" long, 4oz, .062 wire, double #10 colorado blades, three 7/0 mustad hooks (top two free swinging) and for a slighter smaller profile take a look at the XX. http://www.muskiemojo.com Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Location: Athens, Ohio | Does it come with an electric winch, or is that extra? Actually, i got to throw a XX, it wasn't that bad with my 7000. Awesome bait, it's gonna take a big fish to eat that, I don't think they'll have trouble locating it. m

Posts: 1188 Location: Iowa | Definetly the XXX...Baldy and Jonesi do an incredible job with their baits and they are proven fish catchers...the 54 x 28 out of Steve's boat came on one of these XXX's in a custom color/style...give Baldy a PM and he'll take care of you... Big Perc

Posts: 85 | I throw the XX and the XXX, really a nice lure. Those blades really thump, and with the colder weather those baits with the pulsing maribou hair should work well. Nice because you can slow them down enough but still control your retrieve depth. Black with nickel is the ticket!
