Location: KY		I was busy this summer making a couple of new baits. My designs are nothing new but I like the fact that they are through wire and I put them together from scratch. The lures I made are similar to a Hawg Teaser and an HR Shaker. The third bait in the first picture is a crank bait I made this past spring. It is similar to an oversized AC00 Shiner.

I used them for the first time this week. They all worked great. I didn't consider the weight of the leader when I added lead to the glider. When I used a heavy leader with BB,& clip the lure sank nose first. With a bare leader it worked perfect. The only activity I had in a day and a half of fishing was a follow on the "Hawg Teaser"

Location: oswego, il		Good looking baits. Looks like alot of work went into them. Makes it all the more rewarding when you catch a fish. May you have to repaint them many times!

It dives to about 3-4 feet. For the most part it has an action like other chop baits. It dives in a strait line with long pulls and a little bit of a side to side action if you do short hard jerks. Because of the line tie location it has a wobble like a lipless crank bait. All that with the rubber tail makes for a whole lot of triggers.

Location: Burton, Ohio		Bruce very nice work on the thru wire. I am new to musky fishing and just started making my own baits. I was curious how the thru wire works. The pic explains it all. I am also a cabinetmaker and appreciate the quality of your work. Is that maple?

Thanks. The wood is pine. I have a new jig I am making so that I will not have to drill holes all the way through to hold it together with dowels. What I am doing is overkill but is fun and it allows me to adjust exactly how much and where I add the lead before I glue everything together.
