Location: South Portsmouth, KY | Anyboby use this type of reel? Any pros and cons? If i got this reel i would be using it to throw/burn bucktails like llungen tails, cowgirls, etc. Would this reel fit my application? Also does this reel have a thumb bar on it or is it a side push button type? I have been lookin at this or the 6500 C4 with the 6.2:1 gear ratio, but i heard higher gear ratios was bad for burning bucktails. Here is a link to the reel below. Thanks for any info!!

| The C5 is basically a C3 with 2 more bearings in the level wind and a magnetic brake system on it. Personally I do not find a magnetic brake nesseccary on a musky reel but some do. |

Location: Elkhart, IN | It does have the thumbbar and is an excellent reel. I've got two of them that I've been using for three years now and they have performed great. You'd be better off with the C5 than the C4 because of the gear ratio. |
