Just got back from the chip on 9-30, the water is 3ft. down. Be very carefull around Pete's bar we got stuck on it going slow!!!! The water level is very low all over. Take it easy on there. Got 2 a 37 and a 32. Dont' know how anyone else was doing. There were quite a few boats on the water for the week we were there. Good luck!!!!!!!

The high point on Petes Bar we started calling Petes beach a couple weeks ago. I think the water has come up a little since then. Saw someone run up on it that weekend too . . . . .then out comes the canoe paddle to push off . . . .. . . .have to admit I did chuckle a little.

To my understanding some bogs that only appear for a short time every year are literally popping up overnight in areas where a full throttle, on plane ride were previously the standard. Also the water level is extremely low. The bright side, less water to fish and less anglers not willing to donate a lower unit to the Chip so they are staying away.

Anyhow the best resource for info on the Chip is (say it with me now) www.tysennet.com --> fishing reports.

Just got back. Fishing was slow, caught several Northerns. The South CC ramp is pretty rough right now, If you can lauch from the North, low water level but your trailor will stay level.

Good luck, Jim

For the record, guiding someone to another site is not rude in my opinion. This is a great forum to share and gather information on, if I am looking for information on a subject/topic that has a website with a larger datebase for what topic I am pertaining to, I would hope that I would be made aware of that site.
