Iv'e just orderd my stuff for building musky/pike size inline spinners. But now i ran into a problem, it's whit the tying, where do i tye the material on?? Straight in the wire shaft or somekinda tube? If on tube where can you find theese?
And about the weighting, do you use brass beads or brass bodies??

Location: Litchfield MN | O darn can you tie right on the wire shaft proppobly, but it's for shure a heck of a lot more difficult..... aah ill just make some light weight spinner's first (place my order from stamina Saturday no coils!).

Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | coil wire is cheap, if you look in the right places. Throttle cable for lawn mowers is a cheap source. |

go to Fleet Farm and buy the cheapest throttle cable you can find, either auto or lawn mower. should be about 5 or 6 bucks and you will have about 3 or 4 ft of coil. pull out the wire cable and you are all set. coil works great because you can tie on several sections of bucktail for a longer lure or make two different coils and put a hook between the two.
making your own bucktails is easy and cheap. you can also modify them to suit your different fishing needs. |
