I saw the post on tie downs so I thought I would share this $$ saving tip. I have a Ranger Bassboat with a travel cover(?). My tie downs are the ones with two longated cylinder shaped rubber holders on 1 end and a hook for the trailer on the other end. These cost around $8 a piece from Ranger. I have found that Bass Pro has the double hook rubber holders for $2.95. I just clip/snip one of the hooks off(rubber cylinder is left) and they fit perfect in my Ranger Cover. You have to measure because the Bass Pro cover straps come in 18 and 24 inch size. When snipped, they will be 15.5 and 21.5 inches after the hook is removed. You can even keep the hook intact for better support in some areas of the cover. I also use a 18ft. ratchet style tie down strap that I trim to strap over the back seat from one side of the trailer to the other. This keeps my cover from bubbling(parachuting) when I drive over 70 mph down the highway.
