I have been fishing for quite some time now and usually the plan of attack is to find weeds and rocks and blast them morning and evening. I now have access to a new lake and have reason to believe that fish are sitting in deeper water other than during spawn. My question to the experts is what kind of fish finders would you recommend that are user friendly and won't break the bank? |

| Humminbird legend 2000 or 3000 if you can find one. i got both mine for 150 each on ebay.
for a one trick pony (depth, power and some extras), they do what they do very well.
it's easy to get caught up in the bells and whistles side of things. and unfortunately, if you shop around at retail stores, you're going to be baffled by the "crap" that they all offer and can do.
plus, you're going to see color and think it'll make you fish better, and gps and think it'll make you better at everything HAHAHAA...these things do help, don't get me wrong, just bear in mind, you can't fish and play video games at the same time, ya know.
certain things you will like about some and certain things you won't like.
my buddy just bought an eagle 480 and he loves it, and didn't spend over 300 i think.
good luck, check ebay, usually, u'll find people on there that will match if not beat any retailers price. i use the retailers to find what i like...then go get it on the 'bay!
have fun!
