I am in the market for a new sucker rod. I fish quick sets (no circle hooks).Any suggestions on a quality rod for 150 bucks or less? Any feedback appreciated.

if you do a search for "sucker rod" on here you will get quite a few threads to review...

you can get great sucker rods for alot less than 150... Fiberglass, extra heavy catfish rods are awesome sucker rods...tons of backbone and won't break in cold weather

bass pro catmaxx in 7'6" heavy is a great sucker rod, $50 bucks
if you can find them, south bend catfish special rods in 7 or 8 feet heavy are also great, $30 bucks
Cabelas whuppin stick saltwater rod, 6'6" lure weight 1-8 oz, $50 ...
for a sucker rod imo I wouldnt buy a graphite rod and spend more than $50 bucks on one...
