Location: Kinkaid Lake, IL | Just got back from Kinkaid in Southern Illinois after a CRAZY day. 2 tornados come over the lake and the fish turn on big time. Boated 1 and had 3 hooked all within 20 minutes. I got off the water just before the storm rips through the lake. Sirens going off and the sky was just spinning. We ended up in the cooler at a local bar and when it is all over.......complete silence! Not really sure how close we came to getting really hurt. Al Nutty was 5 minutes behind me back to the Marina and he said visibility was less than 3 feet. Ava had 80mph winds just north of Kinkaid.
If you are thinking of coming down for the Shawnee Muskie Hunters meeting on Saturday be careful. There are more storms all night into the morning. |
