Location: Chicago, Beverly | I do know that Snagging is NOT legal in Minnesota and supposedly just the possesion of snagging hooks in that state can get you a fine... however the pic Esox 50 showed us is of a tailwater fish below a dam in Illinois where the CO's have gotten repeated violations of guys snagging Musky, so I am going with his pics being of a snagged fish for sure... some of these other fish could be cancer patients, or spawn damaged fish... or as others state may very well be snagged fish also.. If you see someone snagging Musky on purpose and not releaseing them, whether its with a suick or a lead weighted 7/0, call the co's and report them or call the Tip Poacher hotline for the state your in... get car/truck plate numbers.. boat registration numbers anything usefull with which to ID the criminals... |
