Subject: Algea bloom-how long can they last

I noticed this year ice fishing that part of the bloom that was on Pewaukee Lake is still hanging around. The east end is shallow, full of weeds and still has a good bloom in about three areas. Is it possible that this will not go away, how can it still be hanging around. First ice I noticed it in the deep end also along the weedlines, it looked like pea soup. The bloom in the shallow end is still bad, the visability is about 1/2 foot in some places. Will this break down as time goes on? With all the open spots and wind you would think it would be gone by now. Whats up with this?[:blackeye:] [:knockout:]
