Location: Alsip, Il | What are your opinons, I just got back from Lake of The Woods, where on the first day I had to go to Kenora's Emergency room to get a Marv's Spinnerbait out of my wrist and then the last day of the trip a 20 inch northern put a Vern' s musky spinnerbait in my index finger where I had it removed at International Falls emergency room. The good thing about the trip I got a 32, 43 and a very fat 48 incher. |

Start with a good big deep net, keep the fish in the net in the water as you put on the Lindy gloves and grab the tools. Lindys are expensive, but they're also great. But they do wear out, my right one is pretty torn up from fish after 3 years, the other hand, that I hold the fish with, it's still good and "grabby". |

| barbless is really helpful especially with baits with multiple trebles. I don't mash all of them but the back treble on a cowgirl for instance can really make things easier. The last two fish I caught on Eagle lake last week were in the net and off the hook. No mess and no fuss. It also helps keep you on your toes on keeping pressure on the fish.
the added bonus is when, not if, you get a hook in you it backs straight out. |
