hey guys , got an eagle silent sixty portable that i mounted the transducer to a board so it's more solid.
the problem is that when i'm close to being on plane i lose my signal. the batterys are fresh but can't figure out why.
when i slow down it comes back. i'm stumped..thanks for your info ..karol

i had the same problem, i had a bad connection to the transducer...

Possibly an air/turbulance problem. Transducer needs to have a 'smooth' flow of unareated water across its pickup.

What goti said. slide the transducer further down in the water so no air flows across it and be glad its not a LCD or you'd have to reset the whole system

thanks guys, forgot to say that it's on a sea nymph 14 ft with rivets across the whole bottom back edge
that might be a lot of the problem too.
