Anyone want to comment on your insurance company? Want new boat coverage for non-home owner fishing tournaments and various lakes in midwest, maybe Canada once in awhile. Thanks!!

Whatever boat policy you buy, make sure that theft of "attached items" and of your fishing tackle is covered. Many boat policies ONLY cover these items if the entire boat is stolen. Also make sure that there is no restriction on fishing tournaments. Some insurance carriers view that as "business pursuit".

Ditto Angler's Advantage. I usually like to comment on this subject after actually having a boat claim a few years ago and going through H to get it resolved. I dropped the homeowners link to coverage and got a stand alone policy from a reputable company....jim

Take lots of pictures. You will need to convince an adjuster you paid $$$ for a bait. Also as someone who needed to do this recently, trying to remember what baits you used to own before they were stolen is not easy.

Location: Watertown, MN | Amica, has been great, took lower unit last year and they repaired no question asked, pay attention to what is cover as far as equipment and what you list in the boat. Pay about $3-400 a year on 620 with all equipment covered.
