The Holiday Bar has been rebuilt after the fire last year and is a nice place for a new "up-nort" building. They are restocking the mounts that were lost in the fire. It is located on HWY. 17 just west of beautiful downtown Phelps.
Another option is the Hillside Resort on the South Shore Rd. north of Phelps. It is a 1920's era log cabin with mounts of the same time frame. It has good food with a great setting overlooking Lake Vieux Desert.

For Pizza try Knocker's on Dam Lake (Where the big ones hang out). For a fish fry or just good food and sandwiches-Pitlik's Sand Beach Resort. One of the best bars in the Northwoods.

The Bar greg is talking about is Stillwaters, and is owned by chuck altamore. Nice place and great food, and if you hit chuck at the right time, he might give you a tip or 10.
