| I will be headed to Lake Vermilion the Aug. 19th for the first time for the special occasion of my wife and i 2nd year anniversary. I will only be there for 2 full days of fishing; leaving the 22nd early. I have decided to only fish the East side since thats where were staying and dont want to waste much time dragging the boat to a different launch on the West side. I have a guide for the 21st and was hoping some of you might help with what to expect the first day (Aug 20th) since I have not yet been there. I dont need secret spots or anything, just some info that would help me get started the first day would be appreciated. Has anyone heard any fishing reports or been there lately? Anything to help would be great!
Thanks everbody,
Jason |

| There is a good bloom going on right now so visibility is limited. Vermilion musky challenge was this past Saturday. 75 anglers boated 6 muskies with 43 inches being the largest. Pretty slow right now. |

| Fished vermillion the 10th-12th. Lake is about 2 feet low. Fishing was slow. Most people were fishing reefs. Burn hair and topwaters was the advise given to us. 74 people fished the tournament on sat. only 5 fish boated, the largest 42.5 caught on a cowgirl |
