| Does anyone know if it is possible to place a transducer on a Minn Kota Powerdrive (the model without the Universal Sonar), Or should I just try to shoot through the front of the hull. The boat is a tuffy esox magnum if that helps at all. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

| Nate, i'm not 100% sure what you are asking..
But if you have or are mounting a fish finder up at the bow, then yes, you can run a transducer cord down the shaft of the trolling motor and mount the transducer on the bottom of the powerhead/prop area. you attach the transducer w/ one of those metal clamp thingys...when you turn the screw, they tighten..they make a circle to fit around your trolling motor prop area.
No..you do NOT have to go thru the hull and i do not recommend do that to the bow...

| Steve Worrall has good instructions to route the cord. He may have that thread saved, and will post the link, or the directions.
Here's one of the links. http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=99...

| Thanks for the info guys. It looks like using that loose fitting of the cord to my motor shaft will work well. Thanks again

Location: Il | I just did mine yesterday. I had a transom mount transduser but I bought a trolling motor bracket ($12.99) for it at cabelas and it worked great. Here are a few pictures. Make sure you leave some slack in the cord for when you but it down.
