Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | On the S.W. side of the lake near Vineland Bay off of Hwy 169 theres another State Park, Mille Lacs Kathio State Park. That and Father Hennepin are the only camping spots that I'm aware of. Perhaps some of the resorts offer it, but I've never heard of any. You don't mention what type of camping your looking to do, RV or tent? Perhaps some of the resorts have facilities for RV's but tent camping is limited to the State Parks as far as I know. I know that there is some websites that are Mille Lacs related, but I don't have the web address handy. Try Googleing Mille Lacs camping and see what you find.
I've tent camped at Father Hennepin before. It's a nice park with the tent sites away from the RV sites. It has 2 boat ramps also and a fishing pier too. Not a large park but it's nice. There is plenty of deer in the park for the kids to see, if you have any.
