Posts: 1188 Location: Iowa | Guys, Last night my car was parked in my driveway with 2 rods from fishing earlier in the day. I come out to my car this morning and my rods with CTE400 and CT400 on them are gone...someone broke into my car in the night parked 10 feet from the edge of our house and took both rods/and ipod are gone...I don't have fishing rods now...I am throwing this out there to see if anyone has a rod and reel they would be willing to sell sometime between now and my August fishing trip to Eagle Lake...those were my two rods that I use most often and I have now had my heart ripped out and stomped on...I can't afford to replace them right now as I make very little money. I have $500 from graduation I was going to put in savings to get my own house but it's looking like that is not going to happen...I don't have a homeowners policy but my parents do and their deductible is $2500...the rods/reels/line/leader came out to $862.94 exactly when I figured it out today...pm me or email [email protected] help is greatly appreciated...thanks to my second family in advance... Posts: 4266 | Perc, sorry I wasn't there to shoot the bastards, but I have many rods and reels that see little action and I'd be willing to let you use them. Save your money. What about insurance? Did you check with them? I have several Avids and Premiers with 5500C3's and C5's on them that I would be more than happy to let you use. As long as it's not August12th-26th, because that's when I'll be in MN. But I have enough rods and reels for 3 guys, so I could still set you up. Beav

| Maybe we can all keep an eye out for those combos for sale on ebay. I search stuff like that on ebay all the time. Where are you from? Later, Tom | |||

Posts: 1207 Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | Hey Perc, I have a 7 ft St. Croix with a 6500 on it you can use until you get back up and running. The dates you need to go doesn't matter as I have a good rig to use and it will do me. Let me know what you decide,

| Perc, sorry to hear you got your gear stolen but, be careful about putting your SS no. on the internet, there are alot of goofs with nothing better to do than to steal someones identity. | |||

Posts: 3508 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Perc, Sorry to hear about your loss. That really stinks. I had a stereo ripped out of my truck one time when it was in the driveway. Just sucks!! Question for you though, have you checked with your car insurance company and your comprehensive deductible? I would assume that you did, but just throwing another option out there to hopefully recover your stuff. If possible, you might be able to recover most of one combo since the insurance company would cut you a check minus your deductible... At least it would be something. Just a thought... Steve

Posts: 1061 Location: Medford, WI | Perc, I can relate. I had just bought my dad a rod holder for father's day right before our trip to Canada last summer. Our last night there, we woke up to find the rod case (2 St. Croixs and 1 fenwick inside) not in the back of the truck. You'd think other fishermen would have enough respect to leave stuff alone. As mentioned abovie, make sure you keep watching eBay and if you live in a smaller town, just let the police dept. know about it as sometimes they will put notices out in the public and on the radio. Good luck...I hope you have better luck than me. -Jake
