Need to weed whack the fire ring area ( there will be a midnight fire burning out there every night of the outing, inviting those who like to sit around a fire and shoot the breeze to attend) and use some Round Up out there, and Sue and I are cleaning the Hideout 5th wheel this weekend. Power and water are hooked up next Sunday, and Slamr and Nikki's room is ready to rock. I redid the grill, new brickettes and drip guard and burner, and a fresh tank of LP. Lambeau is coming up a bit early, so I intend to take him and his Dad out for an evening on an area lake. The rest of the Hideout is aching for visitors, so I expect we'll see a few or all of the participants at least once out here next week. Beav will be here too, so I'll be ready to Perkette it up on Lake X. Theedz has to get obver here too, if for no other reason just because. This should be a really good time! Sponsors include Frabill, Beav's Basement Baits, Tuffy Boats, Chuck Nelson, and a host of others Slamr and Lambeau worked on, more cudos for all of our fine sponsors as we ge a bit closer.

Based on my last head count-

Gear ratio appears to be about 36-5

Dang

Too bad there's no big ones in Wisconsin

Or is there?

Looking at the long range forecast it appears as if we are hitting our first string of "normal" stable weather for the spring. Water temps are up, weed growth is excellent, and I expect to see a whole bunch of quality fish bagged in this outing.

I can't wait!

I call the couch!
Midnight? When the hell is nap time?
Steve, we have to touch base, so maybe I can do a drive-by, pick you up, go hit Lake X and then Lake XX.
They should both be ready.
I have to make an early exit because my daughter has a field trip on Monday that I volunteered for. So either Monday morning @ 2AM, or Sunday early morning....because I hate traffic.
I'm bringing Pekettes, going to paint some Perkas right now, so speak up if you want any color in particular.
AND I have a box of 1999 Cubans that I've been saving for a special occasion....so I'll leave those home. What the hell is so special about this? LOL!!! This is like the unmasking of Zorro.
See you guys and girls there. Couldn't persuade my wife or daughter to come along, even though they both think Andrew is cute.

If I want to bring my boat, I'd have to go out to La Crosse and pick it up this weekend.
Seems like maybe I'll be better off leaving it there and fishing with somebody else.

I would love to make this outing.

First thing I would do it pick Steves brain for hours of muskie knowledge.

Then I would follow Norm around for the rest of the weekend.

Somehow I got to get up there for this outing, BUT it doesn't look possible.

I wish everyone a great outing and I am very JEALOUS of all of you.

Beav, you're welcome in my boat anytime, if you don't mind fishing with someone even older than Worrall.

Gail and I will definitely be at the hideout.
Gotta say hi to Suz and my favorite Illinois girl.
And, I gotta meet Beav.
Norm, I'll email you ahead of time to see if we are still on for Thursday afternoon/evening.
Steve, got a present for ya that I'm bringing with. Something you can use for your fall endeavors.
Can't wait to meet ostdc and the other guys I haven't seen since the first Sab trip.
I have to present a scholarship award to a friends daughter on Wednesday night. We will be up right afterwards but it may be late. I'll call or stop by Thursday morning to see if you need help with getting anything set up.

Theedz, your Amma Bamma will be making the trip, along with a cooler full of lure bodies.
Here's a taste of some of the special stuff that will be there for muskiefirsters.
Quantities are limited, and all lures are signed so they will be very valuable....when I die!
The ocean theme today.
Orcas and Bluefins, before any clearcoat.
I'll be doing some more unique ones before I leave, as well as the Bluegills that guys asked about.

Howdy-Ho Sworrall,
Sounds like early Friday arrival or possibly even Thuirsday evening for me, and likely Friday afternoon for my partner Steve, who would be a first-timer from Kaukauna WI.

Mikie and me are brining the music, anyone else feel free to bring along harps, drums or guitars and/or dancing shoes. Mikie and I are amateurs to be sure, and fall along the hippie end of the jam genre.

Steve, is there room for a tent outside the Hideout, in case the weather cooperates? Since I won't be sleeping much I am packing lite camping gear and likely skipping the hotels for the weekend.

Later,
papa joe

There's a bear without cubs looking for someone to snuggle with, Papa-Joe!

Man, wish I could be up there with you guys. Sounds like a great weekend in store, with great weather, friends, and of course, muskies!

Can hardly wait for this one. Leaving Monday for Tom Hulbert's for a overnight stay ( and try to pick his brain for ANY info). Should arrive in Eagle River sometime Tuesday afternoon. Pick up license and hopefully hit a lake that evening. See you then!!!

Please everyone, be careful on the highway.
