Whatever happened to the Crazy Glider? They kind of remind me of an Undertaker a bit.Did they just dasappear of get sold and renamed?

I would love to know that too, i have about 8 of them and they were the prototype. There was a registered 40#er caught on one in Muskies Inc years ago. I got a 47"er on one years ago. Great lure, i hope Bob Haase is still around. PS

Hi,

Bob Haase doesn't mass produce the Crazy Glider for sale anymore ,it got to be too much time and effort.

He makes a few for friends last I heard.Their are a number of gliders out their that will perform just as good.

a friend of mine Scott Kleinschmidt makes a short, fast walk-the-dog glider akin to the crazy glider for the market now in the mr. automatic line. if you liked the crazy glider, you'll love this one and especially love the hardware that hangs off of it. it's built like a tank, custom weighted and great color combos available ... you can buy them from rollie and helens ... if you have any questions, give me a shout and i'll help you find them. trust me, they'll spend time getting wet and you'll know where yours are when you are on the water.

Greetings Fellow M-enthusiasts!
I have posted this info before, but here goes. The Undertaker is/was made by a person who had an association with Rollie & Helen's. In the early 1990s the Haase Crazy Glider was sold at R & H, but there were supply issues. The original Undertaker had the same dimensions as the Crazy Glider with half the rate of sink [1 vs. 2 ft/sec], which made it better for shallow water applications. With the CG no longer generally available there was a market without a supply, so an enterprising individual filled it. I don't know whether there was a similar bass or musky jerkbait before Haase produced his CG. Of course, the shape is similar to the Spook-type topwater, which has several musky iterations. I have 6 Crazy Glides which I use. Some CGs appear on eBay & always sell at or above the retail price of 10 years ago. If someone is aware of factual errors in my account, please post them.
