| Don't have to give up a thing, just have the right amount of horses running on the transom, and the right weight distribution in the boat. All the 20' models are fast, some alittle more than others. For me, room for my big Frabill net, 60" livewell,36" baitwell, full composite construction, chargeback system, standard 65 bait Muskie lure storage, 8' rods in the locker with ease, room to fish three to four standup muskie anglers, a transferrable warranty, walkable splashwell, and a soft, dry, very fast ride were enough.[]
With near empty fuel (13 gallons or so according to my Opti Guages) and one person, over 70 was possible. My tournament loaded speed was around 61 to 65, fast enough.
My new rig this year is a 1760 Esox deep V with a 115 4 stroke Mercury, a very nice, easy to run and economical big water Muskie Rig.
I am not interested in a long debate whose is this, or that. Both are very nice rigs, with loyal owners and an excellent company behind the product. In the Summer this year, I will order a 2003 20' Esox Deep V, and let you know what it will do with a 225 4 stroke.[;)] |
