When I try to fall asleep tonight, I just hope Smith, or Koepp, or Theedz, or Hintz don't try to snuggle me up!

I gotta learn how to sleep before a trip. Some how, some way, I gotta figure it out.

I used to just drink a lot and fall asleep, but after a few times waking up still drunk at 4:30 and having to get my stuff together, drive, and pound the water for 12 hours, and drive home again I figured out that hung over is NOT the way to go. I try to get to bed early now, like maybe 11:00, and I only have a couple beers the night before. I don't sleep much, and I sure don't sleep well, but at least the next day I'm just tired and not putting up with a headache fighting the urge to hurl over the side of the boat...

Some day I'm going to go musky fishing after a full night's sleep!

Game plan is set
Tops of my thumbnails are etched into funny shapes as to make sure my hooks are sharp
Took a shower and noticed on my finger tips that the hooks ARE really sharp
I lost sleep last night already
I'll be driving until 1am to get up at 5am
Have way to many lures packed
Venison is cut up already
Yup, I'm ready!!!

My college graduation is tomorrow so I'll be sleeping soundly! I truly wish I could just get my diploma and go fishing, but my Mom wants to see me walk!

Good Luck tomorrow guys and lets us know how you did! Post some pics too!

Brett, congrats! That is way more important than fishing tomorrow.

And it will pay for a lot of fishing in the future.

I don't know whats more fun, going fishing or watching the antics of Joe Weekender at the landings

I am fortunate enough that I probably get to work most of the night. Then I will pass out for a couple hours and hit the water hard in the morning.

I'm currently suffering a bout of Delerium Tremens from muskie fishing withdrawl. However, this will subside and be totally cured in about nine hours when I get out on the water tomorrow morning.

I left Magruter, Theedz, Sluggo, Shep, Extreme, and a number of other guys at about 9:00. Maybe sleep was in their plan. Unfortunately, a safe drive home had to be part of mine.

A little more planning

I never get any sleep before opening day. This year was no different and all I caught were bass.
P.S I wish I had found this site sooner. Good to know I am not alone with muskie fever.
