How tight do you set your drag? When you say tight, do you mean kind of loose?[:knockout:]

I remove the drag settings from all my reels + wrap the line around my finger tips...the sensitivity increases + I can feed the line out from the palm of my hand...try it![:sun:]

I tighten that SOB down as tight as possible and after I set the hook I dial it back a bit. I free spool on the Figure 8.

I do the same as Dave. I'm hoping when I hook a 50 plus incher on an eight I remembered to free spool that time!!

I crank mine down super tight also. Because when setting the hook the drag can end up hurting you.
