Location: Pewaukee WI | Does anyone target musky on rainy lake? I've heard they were in there but didn't know how many. Seems like it could be an awsome fishery if it was stocked. |

| My Pal's family fished Rainy for three generations until the late 80's...they have 50lb plus Esox's on the wall. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | There's not many, The guys who know it well are extremely tight lipped too. From what I know, the best place to find them is Redgut bay, but if you do go all the way up there, there's just too many other productive lakes in the area to waste too much time on Rainy chasing a dream |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Rainy can be very good, and the numbers are not that horrible. There's a good population in some of the Canadian water, Redgut was mentioned. There are several threads on the subject in the archives here, do a search on Rainy Lake and take a look. I fished the Bleak Bay area and the Redgut bay area from houseboats, mostly for big Pike. The smallmouth fishing is world class, as is the trophy Pike angling. If you're already there, it's worth hitting the water known for Muskies for multi specie for sure.
Ontario doesn't stock muskies much if at all, so that's not going to be an option, I don't think. |

Location: Warroad, Mn | Red Gut Bay is a miniature LOTWs. Good population of fish with good size possibilities.
